At 85g/m², it's a medium-weight material with an open mesh construction that breathes exceptionally well, dodging the heat and moisture build-up that can dog lesser mid-layers. It also stays lofty and warm in damp conditions. Worn alone it’s a capable outer layer through shoulder season; layered under a shell, it’ll bump your insulation right up without bulk.
